Senior Lecturer in Formulation Sciences
I am a Lecturer in Formulation Sciences and a practicing pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (2006 – present). I graduated with an MPharm degree from the University of Sunderland in 2005 and completed the pre-registration year at the University Hospital of North Tees.
My PhD was obtained in the area of pharmaceutics, investigating the physical, chemical, and mechanical properties of a new type of capsule shell for drug delivery. In addition, I undertook postdoctoral work developing orally dispersible tablet formulations.
I've previously worked as an academic tutor at the university (2011-2020), teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students various courses (MPharm Pharmacy, BSc (Hons) Biopharmaceutical Science, BSc (Hons) Cosmetic Science, MSc Drug Development and Discovery, MSc Pharmaceutical and BioPharmceutical Formulations). In February 2020, I joined as a full-time lecturer.
