Clinical Senior Lecturer
I am a Senior Lecturer specialising in research methods. I have extensive experience in teaching and supervising master's level dissertations, as well as PhD, MD, and Professional Doctorate research projects. I am dedicated to nurturing the next generation of research leaders.
I graduated from Newcastle University’s Medical Faculty and hold a master's degree in Clinical Research and a PhD in Health Service Research, achieved through prestigious MRC and NIHR fellowships. With over 25 years of clinical and academic experience in the NHS and university settings in the North East of England, I have held Honorary and Associate positions at Newcastle University since 2005.
My research interests include behaviour change and implementation science, with a focus on enhancing patient safety and improving quality in clinical settings. I am particularly interested in collaborative, multidisciplinary projects that emphasise early detection, prevention, and improvements in clinical care to enhance health outcomes.
I am open to future collaborations and research initiatives and committed to advancing knowledge and practices that have a tangible impact on health services.
